When I was a little girl I lived on 16th Street and always wanted to be a Fairy. Or a Rockette. I took tap dancing for years and the allure of those beautiful sequined costumes and glittered silver shoes still enchants me.

When I grew older (but, Heavens, not "up"!) I could never quite figure out how to become a True Fairy. And the Rockette thing didn't work out either. So I entered the world of arts and crafts- which is, for me, a way to create Magic.
